Learning objectives
Reviewing the position and effectiveness of the technical system and maintenance costs within the life cycle of technical systems. Getting to know the factors that influence the planning of the maintenance strategy and the design of the maintenance organization. Practical determination and analysis of the reliability of technical systems. Getting to know standard failures, condition monitoring methods and measuring and diagnostic equipment and methods. Mastery of methods for determining replacement and repair strategies, maintenance costs and inventory optimization. Familiarization with the possibilities of optimization of the maintenance system and application of information systems. Forecasting the direction of further maintenance development.
Learning outcomes
By mastering the study program, one masters the necessary knowledge and skills, models, optimization procedures, familiarization with equipment, settings of information systems for application in the organization of maintenance systems of complex technical systems (analysis, synthesis, prediction of solutions and forecasts of consequences, mastering of research methods, procedures and processes, development of critical and self-critical thinking and approach, application and use of knowledge in practice, professional ethics). Acquaintance with the basic terms important for understanding the reliability and maintenance of complex technical systems. Acquiring the knowledge necessary to understand the problems of maintaining complex technical systems. Training for the application of acquired knowledge in solving practical problems in the maintenance of complex technical systems related to the organization, implementation of planned activities and application of knowledge in the field of reliability and information and expert systems. At the end of the course, the student should be able to explain the basic concepts related to the reliability and maintenance of complex technical systems, explain the tasks and the functioning of the workshop for the maintenance of complex technical systems, perform appropriate calculations related to the maintenance of complex technical systems.
Content
Introduction: basic terms and definitions, significance and objectives. Technical systems - properties of elements of technical systems, production industrial systems. Maintenance strategies. Effectiveness of production systems. Reliability of technical systems. Technical diagnostics. Maintenance work procedures. Organization of maintenance. Maintenance planning and management. Quality control in maintenance. Maintenance information system. Database. Economics of maintenance. Terotechnological maintenance concept. Life cycle engineering. Maintenance process reengineering. Evaluation and grading
For the selected energy system, the student should do one of the projects related to the organization of maintenance or the use of technical diagnostic methods for "on-line" monitoring of the system's condition. The colloquia are held at 6-7. and 13-14. week in the form of a written exam. Class activity is assessed by making short tests on the content of the class at the end of some classes. The final exam refers only to theoretical questions.
