Learning objectives | ||||
The goal of studying the content of the course is aimed at understanding the meaning of media information and the impact it suffers in media production and post-production. But also the influence on its scope, quality and duration by various so-called filters and regulators. The central interest will be focused on the study of techniques, styles and methods of spin and influence on the information pyramid in the world media. | ||||
Learning outcomes | ||||
Students will be able to recognize the basic techniques, styles and methods of spinning media information created during production, post-production and dissemination. Students will distinguish the practice of spin in media spheres. They will be able to influence the information through some spin technique or method. | ||||

istorical roots of spin; Bernays's manipulations and Borstin's premonitions; The influence of Hollywood and the Pentagon on media production; Principles of media influence, techniques, models and styles of spinning; Information flow control; Spin as a defensive tool; The President's image as a spin; PR agencies in the service of governments; Industry of media contributions; Spin Doctors in Great Britain; Spinning in the USA; Spinning practice in other countries; Spin out of the West (Srbija). Classes will be conducted ex cathedra with continuous student participation through encouragement for conversation, polemics, critical analysis, comparison of knowledge and the like. | ||||
