Fifth meeting of the Advisory group for the analysis of the higher education sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina
University of Banja LukaGeneralSince 2013, the University of Banja Luka has been a partner in the ‘Strategic development of higher education and qualification standards’ project financed by the Council of Europe and European Union. The two-year project is financed through IPA funds system and it has two components: 1) analysis of higher education in Bosnia and Herzegovina as a guideline for outlining priorities of strategic development and 2) progress in implementation of higher education qualification framework, with a view to the relevance of higher education for the society and possibilities of employment through developing good practice in five professional fields (agriculture and food processing industry, engineering, ICT sector, economy, teacher training).
During the meeting, held on March 23-24 2015, the document titled ‘Priorities of higher education development in Bosnia and Herzegovina’ was agreed upon, which is to be presented to the Steering Committee of the Project to pass the final decision on it.
Representatives from public and private universities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, University of Zenica’s Students’ Union, Agency for Accreditation of Higher Education Institutions of the Republic of Srpska, Centre for Information and Recognition of Qualifications in Higher Education, as well as representatives of the Council of Europe took part in the meeting.
