PhD degree holders hooding ceremony

The hooding ceremony for the 21 Doctors of Philosophy who gained their degrees in 2016 at the University of Banja Luka was held on the premises of the Rectorate on June 7, 2017.

The Rector of the University, Prof. Milan Mataruga, was awarded a great honour to promote: Doctor of Architecture, Mladen Djurovic;  Doctor of Civil Engineering Bojana Djuric; Doctors of Economics, Ognjen Eric and Zeljana Jovicic; Doctors of Electrical Engineering Science, Zeljko Ivanovic; and Dino Kosic; Doctors of Medicine, Vesna Paleksic, Melisa Ahmedmegovic-Pjano and Slobodan Stanic; Doctor of of Dentistry Slava Sukara; Doctor of of Pharmacy Irena Kasagic- Vujanovic; Doctors of Agricultural science Marina antic and Edina Salihbasic; Doctors of Science of Law Milan Pilipovic and Milica Cizmovic; Doctor of Chemistry Dijana Mihajlovic; Doctor of Physical Education Science Dusko Lepir; Doctor of Literarure Andjelka Krstanovic- Jankovic; Doctors of Philology Gordana Luburic and Cvijeta Brajicic; and Doctor of Philosophy, Goran Stojanovic.

In his address on that occasion, Prof. Milan Mataruga, Rector of the University, congratulated them on their success in their academic work and on the results achieved during their PhD research activities, pointing out both the hardship and sublimity of scholarly work, asking for numerous personal sacrifices and virtues. Furthermore, Rector wished for the newly-promoted doctors to be leaders in their fields, to be visible in international circles, competitive and active, so they could repay the society and their families for all the support they received.
