Representatives of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics Participated in the Conference in Berlin
Faculty of Natural Sciences and MathematicsGeneralAssistant Professor Smiljana Paras, PhD, and Biology Associate Natasa Vojinovic, ma, at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics in Banja Luka, took part in the international Microscopy Conference 2019, held from 2 to 5 September 2019 in Berlin.
This conference was held at the Technical University of Berlin, and the work of the author from the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics of the University of Banja Luka was titled „High freguency electromagnetic fileds induced ultrastructural changes on secretory granules of pancreas beta cells in rats: unbiased stereological analysis“.
Dr Smiljana Paras showed the cytological and stereological techniques that she is using in the analysis of microscopic tissue preparations in her laboratory to her colleagues from Europe, America, Japan and Australia. Moreover, she used the opportunity to inform herself about the work and the latest methods in the processing of image recording in electron microscopy presented at the conference by her colleagues.
