Workshop ‘Children with Trauma – from Recognition to Help’
University of Banja LukaGeneralProfessor Tatjana Stefanovic-Stojanovic, PhD, from the University of Nis, held a workshop titled ’Children with Trauma – from Recognition to Help’ on 3rd and 4th October 2019 at the Faculty of Philosophy of the University of Banja Luka.
The workshop was organized within the project of early stimulation of developmental capacities of children up to eight years of age in the Home for Children and Youth without Parental Care "Rada Vranjesevic" Banja Luka. This is a project coordinated by Assistant Professor Slavica Tutnjevic, PhD, from the Department of Psychology at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Banja Luka.
This two-day workshop brought together 20 employees of Rada Vranjesevic Home and 14 students of the Psychology Study Program at the Faculty of Philosophy, who, with the full support of the staff of this Home, have been volunteering for nine months to work on stimulating the developmental capacities of the youngest children in this institution.
“Thanks to the great support of Ljiljana Uletilovic, psychologist and head of the department for the work with users, the cooperation between the Faculty of Philosophy and the Home, through which both students and children learn important life lessons, will continue in the future,'' said the organizers of this workshop, stating that this is a great example of collaboration between the academic and the professional community.
Professor Tatjana Stefanovic-Stanojevic, PhD, from the University of Nis, is an expert and certified educator of the Republic Institute for Social Protection of Serbia.
