Agreement on Cooperation Signed with the University of Belgrade

On 25 February 2022, Rector of the University of Banja Luka Prof. Radoslav Gajanin, PhD, and Rector of the University of Belgrade Prof. Vladan Đokić, PhD, signed the Agreement on Cooperation between the two higher education institutions.

Rector Gajanin points out that cooperation with the University of Belgrade is very important for the University of Banja Luka because it envisages cooperation in all fields.

,,The help of the University of Belgrade in teaching at the doctoral studies at almost all faculties of our University is important to us.ˮ, the rector stated and especially emphasized the importance of joint participation in regional and international projects.

,,In the forthcoming period, we expect to apply together for international projects,“ Rector Gajanin said and added that this Agreement envisages the joint participation of professors and teaching assistants in scientific projects.

Rector Đokić emphasizes that the two universities have a long-standing cooperation, and that cooperation will be improved in the forthcoming period.

,,Cooperation between the two universities is growing into a partnership, in which, among other things, we will work together on certain projects, exchange of professors and studentsˮ, Đokić said and expressed hope that this cooperation will contribute to the improvement of cooperation between the Republic of Srpska and the Republic of Serbia. 

This Agreement, signed for a five-year period, envisages cooperation in areas such as the exchange and mobility of researchers, teaching and administrative staff and students. Furthermore, the development and improvement of the teaching process is planned, with a focus on new study programmes and curricula, as well as on joint educational, research, professional and art projects. The agreement also opens the possibility of innovation and transfer of knowledge and technologies, implementation of lifelong and professional development programmes, organization of educational, scientific and professional conferences, as well as other academic meetings, publishing, but also other forms of cooperation. 

The Agreement was signed in the premises of the Rectorate of the University of Belgrade, in the presence of Vice-Rector for Material and Human Resources of the University of Banja Luka Prof. Dalibor Kesić, PhD. The signing of the Agreement was also attended by the vice-rectors of the University of Belgrade: Vice-Rector for International Cooperation Prof. Ratko Ristić, PhD, Vice Rector for Science Prof. Branislav Boričić, PhD, and Vice-Rector for Finance Prof. Zorica Vujić, PhD.
