Call to Apply for the Conference ’Despite Fear and Silence: Universities Against Violence’

Call to submit papers to the international conference ’Despite Fear and Silence: Universities Against Violence’ has been opened.

This conference is organized by the TPO Foundation and the University of Sarajevo for 6 and 7 May 2022 at the Centre for Interdisciplinary Studies of the University of Sarajevo. University of Banja Luka is among the co-organizers of this event.

This is the first conference that is being organized within the project ’University and Gender Mainstreaming’ (UNIGEM), which brings together eighteen universities from the Balkans and regional and international scholars doing research on gender issues in higher education. 

The aim of the conference is to encourage and develop studies on gender equality policies to prevent gender-based violence in the academic community, with a focus on the Balkans and comparative examples at the international level.

Deadlines and applications

The deadline for submitting abstracts is 28 February, while the entire paper should be submitted no later than 30 April of the current year, to the e-mail address: unigemconference2022@tpofond.org.
