The University of Banja Luka Delegation at the Seminar in Tirana

Vice-Rector for International and Inter-University Cooperation in Banja Luka Prof. Milica Balaban, PhD, and Vice-Rector for Scientific Research and International Cooperation of the Faculty of Law Asst. Prof. Bojan Vlaški represented our higher education institution at the seminar „An Opportunity for Relations between France and the Western Balkans", held on 21 and 22 November 2022 at the University of Tirana.

At the two-day seminar, 24 education institutions from France were presented, with the participation of more than 100 representatives of universities and institutions of the Western Balkans, with the aim of exchanging information on the possibilities of bilateral cooperation between higher education institutions, primarily within the framework of various actions of the Erasmus+ programme.

The seminar was organized by the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs and the EU International Cooperation Department, with the support of the Embassy of the Republic of France in Albania.

After the introductory presentations by representatives of the European Commission and the Republic of France, representatives of the national Erasmus+ offices presented the main challenges faced by universities in the Western Balkans, as well as opportunities for university cooperation, and then specific programmes and opportunities for cooperation with French higher education institutions were presented. In the second part of the seminar, networking was organized through direct contacts with representatives of French universities, as well as a reception for all participants, which was organized by the Ambassador of the Republic of France in Albania, Elisabeth Barsacq.
