“The strategic commitment of the University of Banja Luka is to improve the level of the practical part of teaching for students, and this is one of the ways to do it, and the Museum will now be both a teaching and scientific-research art base.“, the rector said.
Dean of the Academy of Arts Prof. Dragana Purković Macan, PhD, emphasizes that by getting a scientific-research art base, established by the signed agreement in the Museum of Contemporary Art, the Academy of Arts will get richer for the exceptional space, but also for the literature that will be available.
“This is just the crown of the excellent cooperation that exists and we hope that it will be to everyone's satisfaction, especially to the satisfaction of students, because we are here for them“, Macan said.
Director Vujković expressed her satisfaction because the signing of the Agreement enabled the Museum to become the first scientific research base in the field of culture, which is connected to the University of Banja Luka.
“In this way, we are entering a new stage of our work, which is primarily aimed at students and everyone who studies art, but also develops culture in our area.“, Vujković said.
It is important to emphasize that the goal of signing the Agreement is institutional cooperation in the scientific and professional sense, which is aimed at the development of contemporary art and higher education as part of the cultural policy of the Republic of Srpska. Moreover, this is the first example of the establishment of a scientific-research base of the University of Banja Luka within a cultural institution. This will enable joint professional and organized work on projects in the field of contemporary art and culture, which affirm the development of student practice and their education, as well as a number of other activities.
