Prof. Pavlić an Invited Lecturer in Tokyo

On 12 January 2024, Associate Professor at the Dental Medicine Study Programme of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Banja Luka Dr. Verica Pavlić was an invited lecturer at the Tokyo Medical and Dental University.

In Tokyo, Prof. Pavlić presented a scientific paper on the association between periodontal disease and cardiovascular diseases, with special reference to the association between periodontopathy and atherosclerosis. As she explained, the connection between periodontopathy and systemic health has been a very current topic for the past ten years, which gives importance to the understanding of oral health as an integral part of the overall health of the human body.

It is also important to emphasize that periodontal medicine is the area of interest and research of Prof. Pavlić, and she has published a large number of scientific papers on this topic.
