Meeeting with the Representatives of St. Petersburg Technopark
University of Banja LukaGeneralOn 31 October 2024, Vice-Rector for Human and Material Resources of the University of Banja Luka Prof. Dalibor Kesić, PhD, held a meeting with representatives of St. Petersburg Technopark.
The main topic of the meeting held at the Rectorate of the University of Banja Luka was the exchange of experiences with the aim of developing the concept of the functioning of the future Science and Technology Park of the Republic of Srpska in the University Campus.
The delegation of this prestigious institution, which cooperates with more than 20 universities from the wider area of the city of St. Petersburg and with over 100 universities from Russia, was led by the director general of St. Petersburg Technopark Yakimov Oleg Yevgenievich, and his deputy Natalia Ivanovna Marinich was also present. Director of the Science and Technology Park of the Republic of Srpska Nikola Dragović was also present at the meeting.
The director of this Russian institution described the concept of functioning of the Technopark in St. Petersburg, which is a public institution with six different professional departments and over 100 employees and with significant share in the economic activities of the St. Petersburg region. It was concluded that there is a significant potential for future cooperation between the two science and technology parks, as well as significant opportunities for academic cooperation.
