Board and logging for exchange students
GeneralAll the students and staff who stay at the University of Banja Luka in an exchange program will have an option to get rooms and food in the Student’s Centre “Nikola Tesla” in Banja Luka.
This was defined in the Cooperation Agreement signed in the presence of the Minister for Scientific Technological Development and Higher Education of the Republic of Srpska, Assistant Professor Željko Budimir, PhD, by the Rector of the University of Banja Luka, Prof. Radoslav Gajanin, PhD, and Director of Student’s Centre, M.Sc. Dragoslav Topić.
The rector of the University of Banja Luka, Prof. Gajanin, said that cooperation with the Student’s Center “Nikola Tesla” existed also in the past, and accommodation will be provided for those coming to an exchange program.
“We have now formalized that cooperation through the Agreement and took an obligation, in case of need, to accommodate teachers, administrative staff, or students who come to the University to study within a students’ exchange program”, said Gajanin.
He added that it is important that timeframes have been defined, so that the University is obliged to announce the arrival of a certain number of students and the Student’s Center will provide accommodation and food.
The rector stressed that a strategic goal of the University is internationalization and an increase in number of teachers, associates, and students who come for one or two semesters.
Director of Student’s Center “Nikola Tesla”, M.Sc. Dragoslav Topić, said that this center is ready to receive all the students who will stay at the University in Banja Luka, without disturbing the existing capacities.
“We are pleased that many students from Europe and the world will come to Banja Luka to see what the University, the city of Banja Luka, and the Republic of Srpska, have to offer”.
The Minister for Scientific Technological Development and Higher Education of the Republic of Srpska, Assistant Professor Željko Budimir, PhD, emphasized that the University plans to open study programs in English on some faculties. He added that the Republic of Srpska is capable to keep its higher education and accompanying services at the highest level, in line with the European standards.
The Agreement signed in the Rectorate of the University foresees also other activities directed towards the improvement of student’s life and standards.
