Learning objectives
By studying this subject, students acquire basic knowledge about notaries and notarial activity, given that this area is not studied in basic, undergraduate academic studies. At the same time, students should pay attention to all the substantive legal regulations that regulate the activity of notaries, not only to the provisions of the Law on Notaries. The goal is for students to become familiar with the notary institute and its role in the legal life of individuals and legal entities, given that its competence in undertaking legal affairs is very broad.
Learning outcomes
Enabling students to understand the concept and legal nature of the notary, to master the necessary terminology of notarial law, to understand the place of notarial law in the legal system in general, then to learn the content of notary activities and observe cases of practical application of regulations that regulate the exclusive competence of notaries, to develop the ability of critical analysis existing legal solutions and problems that appear in the work of notaries and work on improving them.
Content
The concept of notarial law and notary public; types of notary: legal nature of notary; historical development of the notary; notary organizational law: notary exam, requirements for notary service, notary selection procedure, termination of service and removal of notary from service, acting notary, notary's assistant, notary's deputy, professional associate in the notary's office; rights and duties of notaries; Chamber of Notaries; responsibilities of notaries: notarization of documents, notarization and notarization, procedure for notarization of documents; legal affairs for which notarization of documents is mandatory; content of notary activities; business books kept by a notary; electronicization of notary offices and services; responsibility of the notary.

Lectures - interactive teaching, exercises - preparation of notarial acts, case simulation, consultations, preparation of seminar papers and independent study
