Learning objectives
Sadržaj programa predmeta obuhvata razmatranje i analizu makro, mezo i mikro javne sfere na tri nivoa informacionih i medijskih sistema: globalnom, regionalnom (niše) i lokalnom nivou, s namerom prepoznavanja razmera moći medijskog kapitala i načina distribuiranja te moći.
Learning outcomes
Sadržaj predmeta usmeren je na predstavljenje savremenih medijskih struktura i tendencija u globalnim medijskim sistemima prema dominantno dva modela učenja: prema učenju Hermana i Mekčesnija i prema podeli medijskih sistema Halina i Manćina. U okviru ovih modela prezentovaće se opšte medijske i informacione karakteristike medijskih sistema koje čine specifične i tipične predstavnike unutar ovih podela.

Transnational media systems and the process of media commercialization. 4. Media systems in first and second tier media leagues. 5. Division of media systems according to Daniel C. Hallin and Paolo Mancini. 6. Commercial media systems, example USA, Canada, Brazil. 7. Traditionalism, conservatism and elitism in the British media. 8. The media system of Italy, the influence of the industry on the media and the phenomenon of Berlusconization. 9. COLLOQUIUM 10. Media characteristics of RT, CNN, BBC, Al Jazeera. 11. Media regulation processes in: France, Germany, Russia, Austria, Denmark, Sweden, Switzerland, China, Australia, New Zealand, Caribbean. 12. Media systems in Arab countries: Egypt, Turkey, Qatar. 13. COLLOQUIUM 14. Media oligopolies, acquisition processes, mergers and joint ventures in the global media sphere. 15. Media system in the Republic of Srpska, development, characteristics, perspectives.
Teaching Methods
The course is taught in the form of ex cathedra lectures. In addition, interactivity is a continuous goal and method of action of the lecturer. All lectures are presented using multimedia, with the help of computer presentations, films, trailers, audio and video recordings and the like. In the teaching process, 10% of the lecturer's total time can be given to students for independent presentation of the topic.

Evaluation and grading
Assessment and evaluation of student work and knowledge takes place through a colloquium (2), independent student papers and a final, oral exam. In addition to the ability to reproduce the content of the subject, the ability to think analytically and connect ideas is especially tested.
