Agreement on Cooperation signed with the City of Banja Luka

University of Banja LukaGeneral

On April 27th, 2017, on the premises of the Rectorate of the University of Banja Luka, the Agreement on Cooperation between the University and the City of Banja Luka was signed, represented by the Rector, Prof. Milan Mataruga, and the Mayor, Mr Igor Radojicic, respectively.

The agreement was entered into with the purpose of intensifying the cooperation in the areas of mutual interest and implementing mutual projects.

One such project, as pointed out by the Rector, is the Internship Project, to be realized in the city administration and  institutions and companies, with final year students of law, architecture, civil engineering and spatial planning being the most eligible candidates. Those who perform best might be offered a position in their respective institutions.

Also, Prof. Mataruga added that the University had recognized the efforts of the city administration to promote Banja Luka abroad, expressed through the ‘Banja Luka – European Capital of Culture’ and ‘Banja Luka – European Green Capital’ projects, in which they could expect help from both students and the faculty of the University.

Among other things, the agreement implies broadening of all educational, research, sports and cultural activities, as well as protection of the environment.
