University of Banja Luka Delegation Were in Russia

University of Banja Luka delegation composed of Vice Rector for Research and Development Prof. Goran Latinović, PhD, and Dean of the Faculty of Security Science Prof. Predrag Ćeranić, PhD, paid a working visit to the Russian Federation from 15 to 22 June 2021.

On that occasion, Vice Rector Latinović and Dean Ćeranić visited Derzhavin Tambov State University, Tambov Theological Seminary and Moscow State Regional University.

During the visit to Tambov State University, they talked with Prof. Elena Alexandrovna Jurin, PhD, Vice-Rector for Science of this University and her associates. They also met with Prof. Vera Anatolyevna Shunyaeva, PhD, Dean of the Faculty of Law and National Security, Ass. Prof. Irina Jurjevna Bezukladova, PhD, Director of the Department for International Cooperation, Prof. Sergei Sergeevich Hudakov, PhD, Dean of the Faculty of Philology and Journalism and Prof. Vladimir Viktorovich Romanov, PhD, Dean of the Faculty of History, World Politics and Sociology.

Opportunities for participation in joint scientific projects, scientific conferences and publishing, exchange of scientific and teaching staff and students, summer schools, as well as joint study programmes were discussed. Derzhavin Tambov State University was founded in 1917 and has about 13,000 students, approximately 3,000 of whom are foreigners.

The delegation of the University of Banja Luka also visited the Tambov Theological Seminary, one of several dozen theological faculties in the Russian Federation, where they talked with Prof. Elena Valerievna Grudishin, PhD, Vice-Rector for Science, who introduced them to the conditions of study, and especially to the rare and valuable books in the library of the Seminary.

At the end of the visit to the Russian Federation, professors Latinović and Ćeranić talked with Prof. Oksana Alexandrovna Shestakova, PhD, Vice-Rector for Education of Moscow State Regional University, as well as Prof. Elena Mikhailovna Priorova, PhD. In addition to the previously agreed joint master/master's degree, the possibilities of expanding cooperation were also discussed, with special emphasis on participation in joint scientific projects. Moscow State Regional University was founded in 1931 and has over 10,000 students, approximately 250 of whom are foreigners.

At both state universities in Tambov and Moscow, the University of Banja Luka delegation also visited the university temples of the Russian Orthodox Church.
