Cooperation Between the University of Banja Luka and HTEC Group Company
GeneralRector of the University of Banja Luka Prof. Radoslav Gajanin, PhD, and Executive Director of the company HTEC Group Banja Luka Bojan Šukalo signed on 24 November 2021 an Agreement on Cooperation, which will provide students and professors of our higher education institution with numerous benefits - such as traineeship programmes and scholarships, guest lectures, but also joint participation in research projects.
Rector Gajanin stated that this Agreement will enable more practical classes for students.
„Professors and teaching assistants of the University of Banja Luka will have the opportunity to participate in project activities together with the employees of this company, and to jointly form project tasks that will contribute to the development of science, but also be usable in the market.“, the rector said.
Šukalo assessed that the students of the University of Banja Luka have great potential in the field of information technology development, and that the goal of the Agreement is to enable them to show and develop that potential.
As he stated, the goal of the company is to bring good research projects that have proven to be successful and have been implemented at faculties in Serbia to BH and the Republic of Srpska.
„An example of a successful project is the robotic arm, which we worked on with the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the University of Niš and the Faculty of Technical Sciences of the University of Novi Sad. We want to convey the spirit and enthusiasm of these important projects here as well and involve our students in their implementation“, Šukalo said.

The Agreement signing ceremony, held at the University of Banja Luka Rectorate, was also attended by: Dean of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the University of Banja Luka Prof. Zoran Đurić, PhD, Dean of the Academy of Arts Prof. Dragana Purković Macan, MA, Vice-Dean for Teaching at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering Prof. Zorana Tanasić, PhD, Vice-Dean for Teaching at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics Prof. Radoslav Dekić, PhD, and Vice-Dean for Teaching at the Faculty of Agriculture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy Assist. Prof. Tanja Trkulja, PhD. Secretary General of the University of Banja Luka Đorđe Markez, MA, and the Head of the Entrepreneurship and Technology Transfer Centre of the University, Anđela Pepić, MA, as well as Katarina Urošević from the HTEC Group were also present.
