Representatives of the University of Banja Luka Participated in the Gender Equality Training
University of Banja LukaGeneralRepresentatives of the University of Banja Luka took part in the two-day training on gender equality organized within the University And Gender Mainstreaming (UNIGEM) project.
During the training, held on 14 and15 March 2022 in Sarajevo, the participants had the opportunity to get acquainted with the development and implementation of the Gender Equality Plan at the University of Rijeka, and to hear practical experiences on this topic from colleagues from this higher education institution in Rijeka. Moreover, Prof. Jasmina Husanović, PhD, from the University of Tuzla held a workshop on "Modern Forms of Sexism and Misogyny", and a meeting of coordinators of participants in this project was held during the event.
Representatives of the University of Banja Luka, participants in this seminar, were the Vice-Rector for Material and Human Resources Prof. Dalibor Kesić, PhD, also the coordinator of the UNIGEM project at the University of Banja Luka, Prof. Milena Karapetrović, PhD, and Prof. Ivana Zečević, PhD, from the Advisory Board for Gender Equality at our higher education institution, and senior associates from the Rectorate.
The UNIGEM project, funded by the British Embassy in BH, is implemented by the Transcultural Psychosocial Education Foundation (TPO). This project, which deals with gender equality issues in higher education institutions, includes 18 universities from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Serbia and Montenegro.
