Visit of the Delegation from University of Lyon 1

Vice-Rector for International and Interuniversity Cooperation at the University of Banja Luka Prof. Milica Balaban, PhD, met on 29 June 2023 with Prof. Aron Gabor, PhD, and Prof. Pascal Dupeux from the University of Lyon 1, France.

The meeting at the Rectorate of the University of Banja Luka was an opportunity to establish closer cooperation between the two universities, especially in the fields of construction, materials, energy, food technology and chemistry.

Prof. Balaban introduced the guests from France to the higher education system of the Republic of Srpska, as well as to certain researches and potential joint activities.

In addition to the meeting at the Rectorate, professors from the University of Lyon 1 had the opportunity to visit the new building of the Faculty of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy, under the expert guidance of Prof. Malina Čvoro, PhD, as well as to make a tour of the city, with the expert guidance of Prof. Miroslav Malinović, PhD.

The plan is also to have meetings with colleagues from the Faculty of Philology, Department of Romance Studies, Milica Mijatović, MA, and colleagues from the Faculty of Technology, Prof. Božana Odžaković, PhD, as well as to pay a visit to the company "Binis beton", with the expert guidance of Prof. Gordana Broćeta, PhD, from the Faculty of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy.

The visit is part of the Erasmus+ programme and the International Credit Mobility project between the University of Banja Luka and the University of Lyon 1.
