Faculty of Political Science Students Successfully Completed Their Internship

Students of the Applied Sociology Study Programme at the Faculty of Political Science of the University of Banja Luka Dragana Babić, Anđela Višić, Kristina Milutin, Kristina Tepavčević and Ružica Damjanović successfully completed their internship at the Office of the Vice-Rector for Human and Material Resources of the University of Banja Luka Rectorate.

Under the mentorship of the Senior Human and Material Resources Associate Tatjana Marić, MA, from 13 October 2023 to 19 January 2024, students had the opportunity to gain practical experience in various segments of human resource management, such as strategy development and human resource planning, recruitment, candidate selection, employee motivation, etc.

Moreover, students were introduced to the laws and by-laws governing education and employment, with a focus on the procedure for announcing vacancies and selection for a position, as well as the procedure for concluding a contract with candidates who have progressed or received the first choice for a position and established an employment relationship.

In addition to the Office of the Vice-Rector for Human and Material Resources and the University Secretariat, students also gained new practical knowledge in the field of human resource management during visits to individual faculties of the University of Banja Luka, as well as in the University Computer Centre.

According to the mentor, the students showed an exceptional interest in gaining practical knowledge and understanding the process of human resources management, which will be useful in their future professional life.
