Participation in the 18th National Congress of the Pathologists and Cytologists Association
University of Banja LukaGeneralMembers of the Department of Pathology at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Banja Luka took part in the 18th National Congress of Serbian Pathologists and Cytologists Association, held in Novi Sad from 9 to 11 May 2024.
Regular professors of the Faculty of Medicine of our university Radoslav Gajanin, MD, PhD, and Slaviša Đuričić, MD, PhD, senior teaching assistants Božana Babić, PhD, and Vanja Kukuć, PhD, and teaching assistants Milica Petrović, PhD, and Srđan Mitrović, PhD, took part in the Congress. They presented their papers in the categories of invited lecture, oral and poster presentations.
Hence, in the special session "The biggest challenge in many years of experience", Prof. Radoslav Gajanin, PhD, presented the paper "Mucoepidermoid carcinoma of the hard palate in a nine-year-old boy".
On the other hand, Prof. Slaviša Đuričić, PhD, presented a series of cases titled "Prenatally diagnosed congenital malformations and fetal autopsy - a series of reported cases" as part of the short course "Autopsy Perinatal and Pediatric Pathology", while Vanja Kukić, PhD, presented the case "Primary intraosseous myxoid liposarcoma - presentation of the case” in the session of oral presentation.
As part of the poster session, Milica Petrović, PhD, and Božana Babić, PhD, presented their papers "Idiopathic granulomatous mastitis - case report" and in the same session Srđan Mitrović, PhD, presented his paper "Harmonization of PD-L1 testing in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC): challenges in everyday practice".
