The University strengthens the cooperation with Austria
University of Banja LukaGeneralThe vice-rector for international and inter-university cooperation, prof. Kristina Pantelic-Babic held an initial meeting with representatives of Styria region on 10 May 2024 and discussed establishing cooperation with the Alpen-Adria alliance and possible organizing practice in Austria for students of Banja Luka university.
As it was pointed out at the meeting held in the Rectorate of the University of Banja Luka, which was initiated by the Styria representatives, there is a possibility for foreign students to come and have their practice in the Republic of Srpska.
In the course of the meeting with honorary consul of BaH in Styria, Dr. Jörg Hofreiter, and Director of Styria state council for international cooperation, Dr. Arthur Winkler-Hermaden, it was said that cooperation with Alpen-Adria may also apply to scientific-cultural cooperation, and cooperation in sports and youth issues, as well as joint participation in international projects.
The meeting was also attended by the Head of the Republic of Srpska Representative Office in Austria, Mr. Mladen Filipovic, and vice-rector Pantelic-Babic pointed out that there is good cooperation of the University of Banja Luka with high school institutions in Austria as well as that there is room for additional strengthening of that cooperation.
