An invitation to a training about the COIL methodology

The University of Girona, within the Across Alliance, organizes online training titled „COIL Workshop: Techno-pedagogical Skills“, intended for the teaching staff wishing to improve the international cooperation and internationalization of teaching in a digital environment.

The goal of the workshop is to train the teachers to connect students through joint international digital projects by applying the COIL methodology (Collaborative Online International Learning), which is an innovative approach to connecting classrooms with partner universities worldwide. This model enables students to acquire new academic and intercultural skills by means of online learning.

The training will be implemented in three terms in February. The first session, scheduled for 5 February 2026, will be dedicated to introducing the concept of internationalization of curriculum. The second session, which will be held on 13 February, shall focus on a practical design of the COIL projects in an interdisciplinary setting, while the final session of 27 February is planned for presenting the proposals and exchange of experiences among the participants.

All activities will be held in the period from 10.00 to 13.00 hours.

Upon the completion of the training with active participation in all planned activities, the participants will be awarded Certificates for conducting international COIL projects.
