Learning objectives

Acquiring knowledge about psychosocial work and relevant theoretical approaches.

Learning outcomes

basic knowledge of relevant approaches in psychosocial work; training for psychosocial work according to the needs and problems of social work clients; acquiring skills in the treatment of persons with psychosocial problems; acquiring counseling skills in social work practice.

Introduction to the subject; Relationship between psychology and social work; The concept of psychosocial work Mental health and disorders; Psychological crises; Psychodynamic theory and therapy; Personalistic theory and therapy; Cognitive-behavioral theory and therapy; Existentialist theory and therapy; Humanistic theory and therapy; Gestalt theories and therapy; Choice theory and reality therapy; Systemic family therapy; Integrative approach; Ethical and multicultural aspects in the application of psychosocial work
