The basic objective of the course is to acquaint the mining students with the basics of the mining profession and science. | ||||
Learning outcomes | ||||
The student will be able to: fast and easy upgrade of the acquired knowledge; ability to analyze and synthesize; ability to obtain and analyze the information; having the competence in general engineering disciplines such as technological processes of underground exploitation; knowledge of the technological process of designing and supporting of mining roadways; knowing the techniques of designing of mines with underground exploitation, organization of work, management and management of systems;with the skills of designing and constructing underground constructions and objects for a special purpose; development of habits for permanent information, monitoring and application of innovations in the profession. | ||||

Basics and classification of underground construction. Disintegration of rock mass without the use of explosives. Drilling of blast holes. Blasting. Loading and transport of muckpile during the construction of underground stope.Support, underground pressure. Mine support (wood, metal, concrete, and sprayed concrete). Anchor suport of stope. The methods and procedures of underground stope construction. Construction of horizontal mine stope in solid rocks. Construction of horizontal mine stope in weak rocks. The methods and procedures of construction of the vertical and inclined underground stopes. Construction of vertical and inclined mine stope. Construction of vertical and inclined bottom-up stope. | ||||
