Genotipizacija i filogenetska analiza populacija potočne pastrmke (Salmo trutta L., 1758) iz slivova rijeka Vrbas i Bosna

The project “Genotyping and Phylogeographic Analysis of Brown Trout (Salmo trutta L., 1758) Populations from the Vrbas and Bosna River Basins” aims to investigate the genetic structure and spatial variability of brown trout populations within the above-mentioned river basins. The focus of the project is on determining the level of genetic diversity, the degree of connectivity among populations, and their phylogeographic origin. The application of modern molecular genetic methods will enable the identification of autochthonous lineages and the potential presence of allochthonous, introduced genotypes. Special attention will be given to the influence of hydrographic connectivity and anthropogenic factors on the genetic structure of populations. The results of the research will contribute to a better understanding of the evolutionary history of brown trout in these river basins. The project also has significant conservation value, as it will provide a scientific basis for preserving genetic integrity and ensuring sustainable management of this species’ populations. The obtained data may be used in planning stocking activities and habitat restoration. In this way, the project directly contributes to the protection of biodiversity in freshwater ecosystems of the Republic of Srpska and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Inventarizacija i ekofiziološka istraživanja endemičnih i autohtonih vrsta riba u slivu Trebišnjice

Osnovni cilj projekta odnosi se na nastavak istraživanja rasprostranjenja odabranih endemičnih vrsta riba u slivu rijeke Trebišnjice. Uporedo će se utvrditi i fiziološko stanje organizma, kao i stanje životne sredine, te ukazati na eventualno opterećenje vodotoka. Za realizaciju osnovnih ciljeva projekta potrebno je provesti istraživanja koja obuhvataju:  Utvrđivanje zastupnjenosto pojedinih vrsta riba u odabranim vodotocima i vodnim tijelima, njihovo rasprostranjenje...
